What we collect
Depending on how you use GadgetHub, we may collect:
- Name, phone number, email, and delivery address
- National ID details when required for trade-in verification or high-value purchases
- Order and payment history (we do not store full card numbers - card data is processed by our payment gateway / card payment provider)
- Messages you send us via WhatsApp, email, or forms on this site
Why we collect it
We use personal data to:
- Process orders and trade-ins
- Communicate via WhatsApp or email about your purchase
- Verify identity for trade-ins
- Prevent fraud and secure our systems
- With your consent, send offers and updates
Legal basis
Processing is based on performing our contract with you (fulfilling orders), our legitimate business interests (fraud prevention and site security), and your consent (marketing communications), consistent with the Data Protection Act, 2019.
Retention
We retain order and identity-verification records only as long as necessary for legal, tax, and warranty purposes, then delete or anonymize them.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

Cross-border storage
